Help Make A 'Bear of Hope' For A Good Cause Oct. 4th at KidOOdles in Old Orchard's Food Court
Bears of Hope presents a hands-on craft program at KidOOdles on Saturday, Oct.4th from 11:30am to 12:30pm.
Bears of Hope is a nonprofit organization that makes and gives handmade fabric bears for sick and needy children as well as elderly adults. The program relies on donations to support its work. Every penny donated is spent to purchase materials to make bears.
The Old Orchard Event will be held inside the Food Court. Bring children ages 5 to 10 to paint fabric designs for the organization. The fabric will be made into bears that will be distributed by the Skokie Police Department. Officers will provide the bears to children suffering trauma from accidents, domestic abuse or crimes.
