Attend "Small Business Boot Camp," "Starting An Illinois Business" Classes At The Illinois Small Business Development Center

Small business is the backbone of America's economic machine. Are you thinking of becoming a small business owner?

 

The Illinois Small Business Development Center/Duman Microenterprise Center is planning two upcoming classes to help educate ambitious entrepreuneurs how to start a small business.

 

A "Small Business Boot Camp" will be held Oct. 27th, 29th, Nov. 3rd and Nov. 5th from 6:30 to 9pm. at the Anshe Motele, 6526 N. California Ave., Chicago.

The class teaches four fundamental elements of business planning: Planning for business success, meeting the needs of the marketplace, anticipating business' cash flow needs, and creating an operating plan.

The fee for all four sessions cost $50 which includes textbook and certificate. This event is sponsored by the Citigroup Foundation.

 

A second class entitled, "Starting A Business In Illinois," will be held Oct. 30th from 2 to 4pm at the Jewish Vocational Service at 216 W. Jackson Blvd., Suite 700, in downtown Chicago.

This class will teach basic procedures for opening a small business in Illinois, including state and local regulations and requirements. The class is $20 includes a workbook and business plan templates.
