New Weekly Support Group for Teens Recovering From Drug Use Starts Sept. 26th
If you're a teenager looking for a way out of drug use, the Niles Township High Schools invites you to a new teen recovery program starting Friday, Sept. 26th, from 6 to 7:30pm at the Skokie Weber Center Community Room at 9300 Weber Park Place in Skokie. The teen group will meet every consecutive Friday evening afterward. Teens who attend will receive a pass to workout after the meeting.
The support group was created by the counselors of the Niles Township's Student Assistance Program seeking to address complaints from students that there were no recovery support groups for students. As a consequence, the program is only open to teenagers 19 and under.
A similar meeting for teens struggling to recover from alcohol use is held at the Weber Center every Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30pm.
