Skokie Support Group for Families of Eating Disorder Sufferers

Families suffer when a member becomes ill from an eating disorder. The Jewish Child and Family Services is sponsoring a six-week support and educational support group to help these less-recognized victims of such diseases.

Topics that will be discussed include identifying signs and symptoms of eating disorders, understanding the culture around food, learning how eating disorders affect family functioning, exploring the role of the family in the disorder, and learning about recovery options.

The group meets at the Goldie Bachmann Luftig Building, 5150 Golf Road, Skokie, IL  60077.

Meetings will be held Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30pm beginning Nov. 11th through Dec. 16th.

Fee is $90 per family and registration is required.
