Tech Junk Recycled at Motorola's Schaumburg Facility
The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) along with Motorola will hold their 10th annual cost-held a free computer/electronics recycling event Saturday, Oct. 11th, from 9am to 3pm at Motorola's Schaumburg facility, 1301 E. Algonquin Road.
Equipment from residential homes accepted for recycling included:
* Computers and Peripherals, including PCS, monitors, hard drives, modems, printers, mice, keyboards and scanners.
* Office equipment, such as telephones, typewriters, answering machines, calculators, fax machines, copy machines, shredders and postage machines.
* Entertainment and visual equipment, including TVs (sorry, no consoles), VCRS, DVD players, stereo equipment, cameras, camcorders, video game players and joysticks.
* Cellphones and pages will be collected for Motorola's Race To Recycle program, which generates funds for K-12 schools.
