Teens Rocked and Rooted At Evanston's First "Battle Of The Bands" On Sunday, October 19th
Evanston's Battle of the Bands
tTeen rockers exited garages and took the stage for Evanston's first "Teen Battle of the Bands,'' on Sunday, October 19th, at the Society for the Preservation of Art and Culture (SPACE) at Union Pizzeria from 5 to 8pm, 1245 Chicago Ave., in Evanston.
The winningest band scored the opportunity to record a CD at SPACE! Other prizes included a music scholarship at BooCoo, entry to performances at SPACE, and the chance to hold a concert at the venue. Winners were selected by a panel of judges. Admission to the show is free.
The event was sponsored by The City of Evanston's Youth Engagement Initiative, Youth Council, Library Teen Advisory Board, Department of Parks Forestry and Recreation and Boocoo.
