Applications Being Accepted for Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) At Niles Township Government
Applications for aid from the 'Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program' (LIHEAP) will be accepted every Wednesday in November at the Niles Township Government Building from 9 am to 4pm, at 5255 Main St., Skokie, IL. For more information, access http://www.liheapillinois.com/community.html.
Interested parties can apply on November 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th, and must bring Social Security cards, current heating and electric bills, and documentary evidence of income. Acceptable documentation includes: Social Security benefit/SSI letters dated from Jan.-Dec. 2008; AABD grant amount and card; 2008 pension letter; current paycheck stubs dating 30 days prior to application for all household members; proof of TANF amount and card.
Gross income guidelines are:
* $1,300 for household of 1
* $1750 for households of 2* $2,200 for households of 3
* $2,650 for households of 4
* $3,100 for households of 5
* $3,550 for households of 6
* $4,000 for households of 7
* $4,450 for households of 8
