Niles Township and State Officials Hold "Cash Dash," Give Lessons on Avoiding Fraud
Illinois state officials will travel to Niles Township December 4th for a "cash dash,'' -- an event providing database searches to residents who could be owed money by the state government.
A representative from the Illinois Treasurer's Office will be at Niles Township at 5255 Main Street, Skokie, from 9am to 2pm. No appointment is necessary. State officials invite you to "stop by to see if you can claim some of the millions of dollars in unclaimed assets in the state's vaults."
At the same time, a representative from the Illinois Attorney General's office will be on hand to share tips on how consumers can protect themselves from scams, identity theft, Internet predators. Information will also be provided on online computer safety, crime victim assistance, and healthcare mediation programs.
