On Nov. 24, St. Peter's Parent-Teacher Organization sponsored a successful "Graziano's Night." Graziano's Restaurant in Niles generously agreed to donate 25% of sales from St. Peter's patrons to the school's educational fund.
St. Peter School is honored to be the recipient of the "Patricia H. Glunz Memorial Fund." Scholarship money contributed to this fund by the Glunz family will be used to lessen the financial burden on a deserving family whose children attend St. Peter School.
Parent/Teacher conferences took place on Nov. 25. Parents and guardians of St. Peter School children met individually with their children's teachers and school administrators to discuss student academic success and goals for the next grading period.
After all masses on Sunday, Dec. 7, St. Peter will have its annual Pancake Breakfast and Cookie Walk in the school auditorium. All are invited to savor the flavor and frolic in the fun. To get into the holiday spirit, there will even be an chance to take a picture with St. Nick.
All parish chefs are being called to provide recipes for a new and improved St. Peter Parish Cookbook. All types of recipes are welcome. Parishioners and St. Peter families are asked to submit their recipes no later than Jan. 15. For more information please see the St. Peter Web site (www.stpeter-skokie.net).
In a letter from Adam Kwiecinski of Evanston American Legion Post 42, St. Peter students were thanked for their letters in November to hospitalized veterans in appreciation of their service to our country and in observance of Veterans' Day. The letters were distributed to veterans brought to the American Legion Hall in Evanston and to patients in the North Shore VA hospital wards.
