Revamping of Industrial Area Planned

In keeping with the original Southwast Industrial Area Redevelopment Plan originated in the 1990s, the industrial-zoned district north of Oakton Street, west of McCormick Boulevard and east of Hamlin Avenue has been deisgnated as the second highest priority area. Community Development Director Peter Peyer and Economic Development Coordinator Tom Thompson presided over a hearing where Gewalt Hamilton Associates Inc. of Vernon Hills were hired.
