Touhy Centre Project Approved

Despite being initially turned down, the Skokie Plan Commissioners approved the retail development, Touhy Centre, to be located on the north side of Touhy between St. Louis and Lawndale Avenues. "The petitioner has made several changes to the site plan recommended by staff since the first hearing," said planner James Cox.

The retail site will include a fitness center and grocery store. The project still needs to go before the Appearance Commission in November before the Village Board takes a final vote. Courtesy of the Skokie Review, October 11, 2007.
