Update on Skokie's Street Level Gallery project

Update on Skokie's Street Level Gallery project

We are proud to announce that both the Desiree and Vittello's windows have been updated with works by area artists and the new shows are wonderful. Vittello's is featuring a local artist (Stuart Bresett) with a unique style that is worthy of checking out. The Desiree features several local artists also worth a look.

We are happy to report that one of our local artists has sold a painting because of our efforts. Congratulations to Betty Wolff!

Many thanks to our Arts & Entertainment committee for its tireless work on the Skokie Street Level Gallery project.

The preparation and funding for the Golf store installation are in place and we should be changing art sometime next week. We have secured a new location for the next installation on the 8300 block of Skokie Blvd. (Prestige Auto's used car building) we will keep you posted on the schedule. The entire building will be available for our use, which will allow us to display a multitude of works. A call for artists will go out prior to that showing.

it's actually pretty cool

it's actually pretty cool how the reflection off the buildings appears but anyways, have you all checked out the newer artwork on display at that old gold shop (red window frame), and former bakery(shades of blue painted on windows)? Soon before we all know, Downtown Skokie will be a huge street of art! Our very own art gallery...

Street level Gallery Project

How can one get information about artists on display and about how to have art displayed in the project? Are there any restrictions on who or what can be displayed? Thanks.
