Documentary by College Student Premiered on Television

Skokie resident Pavan Bapu had the honor of having his documentary about performers in the Chicago Transit Authority's subway stations debut on WTTW-TV's "Image Union" program on January 17, 2008.  Pavan, now a senior at University of Illinois at Chicago, was challenged a few years ago by a fellow student to make a documentary. "Sound Underground" is a 15 minute exploration of the diverse musicians who are often dismissed and unappreciated by commuters.  The entire process was a unique and rewarding experience for the novice filmmaker.
